How do I use Qantas Pay?

In order to use Qantas Pay you must first sign up online or via the Qantas Pay app. Learn more here.

Once you have signed up, you can get started straight away and add money into Australia Dollars or up to 10 foreign currencies and lock in competitive exchange rates. While you wait 5-7 business days for your physical card to arrive, you can set up and start using Apple Pay or Google Pay right away.

To use Qantas Pay you can:

  • Tap your device with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Tap or insert the card at point of sale or ATMs and select ‘CREDIT’ and enter your PIN.

With Qantas Pay, you will earn Qantas Points when you load foreign currency and on eligible spend at home and overseas, using your own money and with no annual or transaction fees.

You can view balances, transaction history and move funds between currencies on the go with the Qantas Pay app and via the website.

Some useful tips to get you started:

  • Please be aware of your Qantas Pay card for security deposits, as funds may be held for up to 30 days.
  • If you're traveling to a destination where we don't provide a specific currency option, you can still use your Qantas Pay card. Just load AUD and your transactions will be converted to the local currency at the time of purchase.
