If you’re in financial difficulty or think you might miss a payment, please get in touch as soon as you can. We’re available Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm (AEST/AEDT), Saturday, 9:00am to 1:00pm (AEST/AEDT).

Our specialised support services​

If you’re experiencing a vulnerability that impacts your ability to generally use your credit card or make repayments, including domestic or family violence, elder or financial abuse, or you need an interpreter, contact our dedicated team on 1300 311 593.

​We have a dedicated Indigenous Customer Service line to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers, particularly those living in remote locations. Call 1800 940 948, or if you prefer to speak in an Indigenous language, we have an interpreter service that may speak your preferred language. Ask us about this service during your phone call.

Free counselling service

Qantas Money Credit Card customers have access to TELUS Health for free confidential coaching and support across physical, mental, social, professional, and financial wellbeing.

Below are external providers that can provide support for a wide range of life circumstances, no matter where in Australia you are.

  • Ask Izzy is an A-Z directory of community support services. These include emergency housing, meals, money, legal advice, domestic and family violence support and more.
  • Good Shepherd offers No Interest Loan Scheme (NILs) to help eligible customers access essential goods and services.
  • MoneySmart (by ASIC) an Australian Government initiative that provides free tools, tips and guidance to help Australians take control of their money.
  • Salvation Army provides a wide range of safe and accessible support, from aged care to finding employment and much more.
  • Services Australia provide essential government payments and services to support individuals and communities.
  • St Vincent de Paul Society provides urgent crisis assistance as well as a wide range of ongoing support services.

Support for financial and elder abuse, domestic and family violence

  • 1800 Respect supports anyone at risk of or impacted by sexual assault, domestic or family violence.
  • Relationships Australia is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides counselling, dispute resolution and support to help people build positive, respectful relationships.
  • Services Australia – Crisis payment Victim-survivors may be eligible for a Centrelink Crisis Payment if they apply soon after leaving a domestic and family violence situation.
  • Australian Red Cross Emergency Relief provides a small, one-off emergency relief payment to people on temporary visas who have little or no income and are not eligible for Centrelink assistance.
  • Centre for Women's Economic Safety (CWES) supports women who are experiencing, recovering from or at risk of economic abuse within the context of domestic and family violence.
  • National Elder Abuse Helpline (1800 ELDER HELP) If you or someone you know is at risk of elder abuse, call the National Elder Abuse Helpline (1800 ELDER HELP) to connect with your state service.
  • WESNET is Australia’s national women’s advocacy body, supporting women and children affected by family violence through programs like Safe Connections.

  • Centrelink Payment and Service Finder is a tool to see what government payments or services you may be eligible for.
  • Credit Smart is an online resource from the Australian Retail Credit Association that helps you understand credit reporting and manage your credit information.
  • Mob Strong Debt Help is a free nationwide legal advice and financial counselling service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Salvation Army Financial Assistance provides support to help you manage debt, pay rent, and afford essentials so you can get back on your feet.
  • Way Forward is a free, not for profit charity that helps people who are struggling with debt. It works directly with creditors to put in place affordable debt management plans. People make one payment to Way Forward which is then disturbed to creditors.


Job seeking support

  • Fair Work Ombudsman to learn about your workplace rights, pay and entitlements in Australia.
  • Fitted For Work for women, non-binary and gender-diverse people looking for assistance with work preparation support.
  • Myfuture is an online resource designed by Education Services Australia to help shape your future and make the right career decisions.
  • Workforce Australia is an Australian Government platform that helps people find jobs and access career resources.

Life and health support

  • Lifeline provides all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.
  • Beyond Blue is a not-for-profit charity organisation that provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health.
  • Headspace provides free online and telephone support and counselling to young people 12 -25 and their families and friends.

Health support

  • Medicare Mental Health is an Australian Government initiative that connects you to apps, online programs, forums and phone services for mental health support and wellbeing resources.
  • RUOK is a suicide prevention charity that aims to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling.
  • Butterfly National Helpline offers free and confidential support for anyone with concerns about eating disorders or body image issues. 
  • Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia (PANDA) supports families affected by anxiety and depression during pregnancy and early parenthood, and runs Australia’s only National Helpline for perinatal mental health.

  • Thirrilli - National Indigenous Critical Response Service (NICRS) provides emotional and practical support to families impacted by a loss from suicide or other fatal traumatic incidents.


  • Suicide Callback Service is a free, 24/7 counselling service available by phone, video, or online, offering professional support to people at risk of suicide, those worried about someone else and individuals bereaved by suicide.
  • Services Australia – Health and disability
    Find out how to access Medicare and low-cost health services, get disability or carer support and learn what to do after a loved one dies.

Ageing and life transition

  • My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s starting point to plan for someone's aged care journey. It locates government funded services for help around the house or aged care homes.
  • Older Person Advocacy Network (OPAN) is a free service that helps older people and their representatives resolve issues with Commonwealth-funded aged care. It provides advocacy, information and education.
  • National Dementia Helpline offers counselling, support and practical advice for people with dementia, their families and carers. They provide up-to-date information and connect you to other services.
  • Services Australia – Aging
    Payments, services and support for older Australians and those who care for them.

Accessibility and inclusion

  • Disability Gateway helps all people with disability, their families and carers find the information, services and support they need.
  • The National Disability and Neglect Hotline is a free, independent and confidential service for reporting abuse or neglect of people with disability.
  • Scope Australia is one of the largest not-for-profit disability service providers in Australia, providing a wide range of disability support services to people with complex intellectual, physical and multiple disabilities.

Bereavement Support

  • Griefline is Australia’s only dedicated grief helpline service that provides counselling support services free of charge to individuals and families.
  • Services Australia offers bereavement support, which may include additional or continued payments depending on the assistance received by the deceased or next of kin.

Child, parenting and families

  • Kids Helpline offers free, confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling for young people aged 5–25, with helpful resources for parents on its website.
  • Pregnancy, Birth and Baby supports parents from pregnancy to preschool, offering expert advice from maternal health nurses and guidance on pregnancy, birth and raising children.
  • Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia (PANDA) supports families affected by anxiety and depression during pregnancy and early parenthood and runs Australia’s only National Helpline.

  • UnitingCare Australia is a national network of community services providing support and advocacy for children, families, older people and those in need across Australia
  • Community Legal Centres is an independent, not-for-profit, community-based organisation that provides free general legal assistance from more than 170 centres across Australia.
  • Social Work Services is an Australian Government department that provides social work services and support for people going through difficult times.

First Nations support

Gambling and addiction support

  • National Gambling Helpline can provide support for anyone affected by gambling. Free, confidential and available 24/7.
  • Betstop, the National Self-Exclusion Register™, is a free Australian Government initiative that lets you block yourself from all licensed Australian online and phone gambling providers. You can register at any time.
  • Directline connects you to your state or territory’s Alcohol and Drug Information Service, offering free, confidential advice and guidance to link you with the most suitable support.
  • National Alcohol & Other Drug Hotline offers a free, confidential phone service providing counselling, guidance and information to support individuals facing addiction.

Incarcerated support

LGBTQIA+ support

  • LGBTQIA+ support services offer peer support, counselling and community connections for people who are same-gender attracted, gender diverse and/or questioning their sexuality or gender identity.
  • QLife offer anonymous and free LGBTIQA+ peer support on the phone and webchat, for people wanting to talk about sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.

Support tailored for men

  • Mensline Australia is a telephone and online counselling service for men with family and relationship concerns. Support focuses on depression, anger and stress.
  • Men's Referral Service is the central point of contact for men taking responsibility for their violent behaviour. Telephone counselling is available.
  • White Ribbon provides an opportunity for men to discuss the complexities that influence attitudes and behaviours that contribute to violence against women, such as their violent behaviour.
