What is GBG, Experian and illion?

GBG, illion and Experian are all identity verification partners of Qantas Pay. 

During your application to join Qantas Pay, your personal information, including your name, residential address, date of birth, ID document details, and biometric data, will be shared with our identity verification partners illion, Experian, and GBG, for the purpose of preparing an assessment to verify your identity.

The verification process involves two key steps:

  • Biometric Match: Your facial image will be processed by GBG to perform a secure "face match" against the photo on your ID. This confirms the ID belongs to you.
  • Information Match: illion and/or Experian will compare the information you provide with the personal information contained in a credit information file and other official records.

This assessment may rely on information about you as well as names, residential addresses, and dates of birth contained in credit information files.Please note, this will not involve a check of your credit rating or your eligibility for credit.
