Why do I need to enable my camera?

We require a selfie to complete your identity verification. This selfie is matched to the photo on your ID to ensure that your identity is correct, which is a key step in protecting your account from fraud. To take a selfie, the camera functionality must be enabled on your phone or on your desktop browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome).

If your camera is disabled, the app or browser won't be able to access it during the selfie step, and you'll need to complete your ID verification in person at an Australia Post location.
